Lake Manyara National Park

Ernest Hemingway is thought to have said of Lake Manyara, ‘it is the loveliest lake in Africa’ and it is not difficult to see why with its impressive array of birdlife including flamingo, Grey Headed Kingfisher and Long Crested Eagle not to mention the world-famous tree climbing lions not seen anywhere else in Africa.  Situated on the way to the Ngorongoro Crater and the Serengeti, the park demands at least an afternoon of your time to sample all things that this unique part of Northern Tanzania has to offer.
