Designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1982 due to its diverse, rich wildlife and undisrupted nature reserves, the Selous Game Reserve is a must see for anyone wishing to experience the real Africa.
The Selous attracts visitors from all walks of life, from newlyweds on their honeymoon to parents wishing to introduce their children to the ‘big five’. Although much of the reserve is set aside for hunting through privately leased concessions, much of the park remains open to tourists with a wide variety of bush activities including walking safaris and fly camping trips.
