The Archipelago of Zanzibar is a semi-autonomous region, approximately 40 kilometres off the coast of the mainland.  Its capital is Zanzibar City, located on the island of Unguja, with its historic centre in Stone Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2000.

Zanzibar’s coastline has some of the best beaches in the world, with each island offering something different.  One of the main attractions to Zanzibar are the spice markets, with Zanzibar once being the largest grower of cloves in the world.  So, relax on one of the beautiful white sandy beaches, and let your cares float away with the tide!
