At 3,230 sq km, Mikumi National Park is the fourth largest national park in Tanzania and part of the larger ecosystem which is located near the Selous Game Reserve. Located between the Lumango range and the Uluguru Mountains, the park has a variety of birdlife and wildlife that can be viewed all year round.
Over 400 different bird species have been recorded, including the bateleur eagle, lilac-breasted roller, and a host of European migrants during the rainy season.
There are three campsites, three luxury tented camps and two lodges within the park so accommodation is not a problem with something to suit all tastes and budgets.
